Episode 8 of HUM TV's period drama Aangan finally moved the Safdar and Tehmina’s track (Ahsan Khan and Hira Mani) forward while the Chammi and Jamil’s track (Ahad Raza Mir and Sajal Aly) had no further development.
Safdar left the home and Ahsan Khan brilliantly depicts the helplessness of his character. Mazhar (Omair Rana) wanted him to marry his daughter Tehmina but he also couldn’t stand in front of his dominating wife (Madiha Rizvi). Kusum (Rabia Butt) ran away with her lover but the audience fails to understand why her track was given significant on-screen time and why was it relevant to the story.
Jamil and Chammi’s track is going nowhere because till now they are just there for humorous scenes. Despite the track having no development, Sajal Aly continued to impress and amuse us with her exceptional performance, making Chammi’s character the one that brings smiles to our faces.
Overall, the performances were good as Ahsan Khan knows how to bring emotions to life. Ahad Raza Mir was blank in most of the scenes while Hira Mani, Mawra Hocane, Madiha Rizvi and the rest of the cast did justice to their roles. And of course, Sajal Aly was the star and the most loveable character among all.
